"The Cartulaire, also called Terrier du Comté de Ponthieu, has preserved copies of many acts whose originals are lost or, in any case, dispersed; and these acts are issued by the counts of Ponthieu, the owners of fiefs, seneschals and bishops, abbots and abbesses, etc.
They are, therefore, of interest to the history of the counts and of a large number of places in the county.
